Terms such as satisfaction, commitment and motivation are included in job happiness, a concept recognized today but that can only be feasible if companies and employees do their part. Thus, reconciliation, initiative or recognition are some of the fundamental ingredients.
Happiness at work became part of the Human Resources jargon as a synonym for well-being and motivation, all with one goal: to increase employee productivity. Because of this, an investigation carried out by neurologists Richard Davidson and VS Ramachandran and academics such as Shawn Achor, affirms that unhappy people do not add anything positive and negatively affect the company.
Is it possible to get happiness at work? The answer is yes, but as always, it is a matter of two. On the one hand, companies must generate the appropriate policies for this and, on the other, workers have to do their part to make everything work.
